Mona:

I truly loved your posts at the blogspot – mostly because I sensed your thoughtfulness – and the spirit. Here – it seems like you’re sharing a fleeting idea – but don’t expound on it – and honestly, I’m missing the depth that came with you…I hope you know that I love, admire and look up to you – just something for you to consider…

Mona:

Your old posts at blogspot were fabulous!! but anyone can write like that. There’s enough of that. It was your ideas we loved which are being even MORE amazingly expressed now. Maybe some are looking for the regular way to express ideas or to get lots of readers. Maybe some just don’t get poetry or symbolism…like the whole flower thing…it was AMAZING. It takes work to draw out the meaning, especially that last phrase. But some people are like “oh how sweet,” and I’m like no –  you missed it…

Mona:

I admire the fact that you know what you want to do with the site  — when I’m looking at people’s blogs – I’m not necessarily looking for hidden meat – I’ll have to consider that next time…

“Symbolism…is inherent in the very texture of human life.” Alfred North Whitehead

Mom, I loved both versions of your blogging! There is a time and place for both I suppose. It’s interesting how everyone has different feelings about it. I’m glad you are open about the comments you have been getting and that you want to hear from your readers!

I believe, as I once read, that poetry enables the writer to “stretch the imagination, express complex thought-patterns in memorable language and convey a number of associated ideas in a compressed and economical form.” Poetry is more to my liking at this time…I’ll probably find a style that combines the personal essay with poetry…
