Choose a Saturday or Sunday. Or a day in the middle of the week. Take a train from Victoria or maybe Blackfriars. Alight in Brighton after an hour, perhaps two if you can't get the express. Take a taxi from the rank or, better yet, stroll down Queens Road. Walk through the shifting surface of the first pebbled beach I ever saw until you get to the water's edge. Gather a few perfectly polished pebbles into your pocket. Stare out into the waves.

And think of me.

(If you'd like a longer stay in my favorite seaside resort, you really can't go wrong with Brighton House B&B in Regency Square. They've been lovely to me.)

Actually, I already wrote our story. It took me 3-4 years to finish it up. It's great--pictures and everything. It is wonderful to have. I've actually been re-reading parts of it just this week . . . young love--sigh . . .

I'm so excited for your adventure and hope that Brandon and I can experience a similar one sometime in the future. I would love for you to think of me whenever you see a musical. Experiencing London theater has always been a dream of mine. Also, whenever you see kids in knickers, I love that, or babies in big dressing gowns (I've always thought that was very British). Enjoy the Journey!

I wrote something everyday for Grant's and my entire courtship (and even before when I was only crushing terribly on him). I cherish those pages and read them often as I can. Grant and I love to laugh at my girlish admiration for him and how our romance bloomed full flowered into an adventure that neither of us would've predicted would happen so soon. Our journey to Utah was hardly crossing the ocean, but it did feel like leaving everything I knew behind. I was so blinded by romance that I did not think it would be difficult and hardly understood the pangs I felt later on and that they were my heart missing the place and people with whom I'd grown up. Still Grant fills every day with romance and supports me in becoming the very best person I can be, and I wouldn't trade anything for the happiness I feel in his arms.

Think of me whenever you see an outdoor produce market (Do they still do those?) I have always wished for the sights, smells, sounds, and beauty of an outdoor market (You'll remember that Vancouver's Farmer's market is indoors; Provo's sells very little produce, only homemade trinkets). To walk a few blocks from my home, haggle over prices and to buy everything fresh as it can be - That sounds so delightful to me! If you see one, take a picture for me! :)

I love you! I can't wait to hear about all your fun adventures!

Here's no surprise for you! Think of me whenever it rains! And when you attend an orchestral concert!

We shall have to compare notes on our grand adventures, although I fear your adventures may seem more grandiose than mine.

Wishing you happy and safe travels!

I wrote the outline of what I thought would be a good telling of our courtship. Ours leans towards the unorthodox, you see. That outline alone brought much laughter and cheer to my soul in spite of the hardships. I'll be pulling that outline out and reviewing the details thanks to this post! Can't wait.

Love you!

Oh, Mona, I love you and will miss you! May your voyage be safe and sweet and the romance you share carry you over the waters to a new land; but just for one year!
Your adventures ahead will provide so many wonderful stories and beauty that I know you will share with all of us. How lucky are we!
Remember I will paint for you your favorite scenes whenever you send them to me.
One time years ago I had the opportunity with my husband to move to Arizona. It happen so quickly. The decision was made on a Monday and by Friday night we had sold everything we owned (out of a large home) and headed out; not knowing what awaited us there. We knew no one and neither of us had a job. What an adventure we had. We didn't fly across an ocean to a new land; but it still took mighty faith and trust in the Lord to do it. Of course we moved to a land of palm trees and sunshine and we were blessed beyond our wildest dreams with opportunities. The Lord opened doors and provided our needs.
Now that new doors have been opened for you and Dale I know that the Lord will bless you and support you as you have faith and trust in him.
God bless you our dear friends on your journey.
Will be looking forward to your musings, Mona.
Much, much love and prayers. Colleen

Every time I gaze into the soft blue eyes of my sweetheart, I feel the rush of the first time. The first time our emotions meshed with the gaze of realization we would soon be in love, forever.

I live my own love story in perpetual bliss every day, lost in the blue forever of her eyes. Let the world laugh, call me a dreamer, a hopeless romantic - I am.

Oh...when I asked my Grandfather...who traveled ALL over the WORLD...what was the most BEAUTIFUL...he said..."ENGLAND"...I have seen MANY ENGLISH gardens in BOOKS...and have IMAGINED me either walking and taking in every petal...or...imagined being given the privilege of "working with my own hands"...the soil in England...and watch over time what God does best..."create a masterpiece"....from my efforts...

Also, I remember so vividly...sitting in the cafeteria dreaming about my future husband and children...I was only "7" years old...yet, I remember that moment...so many times...Why this memory has come back to me...I don't know...cause, I couldn't tell you very much...of what I did or thought...at that age...EXCEPT that ONE MOMENT...

Have a MARVELOUS ADVENTURE, Mona...I will look forward to your "romantic" moments...in places...I have only READ about...Very Very HAPPY for ALL OF YOU!!! LOVE YOU! Deb

I thought maybe you were relating your own sailing experience from Sea-trek!

Think of me when you hear a REAL cockney accent, and though I will have to share it with Ashley, think of me if you see anything that looks like it came out of Mary Poppins!

Spit-spot!
London Bridge is falling down -
My Fair Lady -
and all that rot!

Can't wait to hear about your arrival in the Mother land.

Lovey,
Deb
